This has been a work in progress for a while but here is my creative reel. This is just a brief peek into some of the work I'm proud to say I have written, produced and directed over the years in my role as an emerging leader in a non-traditional approach to diversity and inclusion. In its fifth year, JWT's Differenter continues its mission to highlight the achievements of New Yorkers making a difference in the lives of African-Americans here and around the world. The Innovators of Change documentary series celebrates Black History Month with tales of five everyday people that are making a difference in real time. Innovators provoke insightful dialogue from today's leaders on the importance of the African-American experience and its rightful place in American history.

This is the second installment of Innovators of Change features some of New York City's brightest game changers. Co-directed and produced by myself and Leyla T Rosario.

2011 Innovators of Change

Here is my first documentary that goes with the trailers listed earlier. Executive produced and created by myself and Carl Desir. Producer Leyla T. Rosario. Directed by Mr. Pete Chatmon. The JWT Differenter sought 6 African-Americans currently making change around the world and their communities.

Perfiles II
 

Year of Production: June thru September 2013

The Perfiles series gives a positive portrayal of the Latino community throughout New York City. Pride, passion, and perseverance are common denominators amongst the cast, whose roots span from New York City to South America.

Through their personal stories and shared insights into tradition, misconceptions associated with Latinos in pop culture, and the future of the Latino community in America, Differenter provides a vantage point into this important and often overlooked aspect of American culture.  Created/Directed/Written/Executive Produced by me.

Perfiles

Year of Production: October 2012

We profiled 5 amazing Latinos in a short documentary about their pride, passion, and perseverance. Cast Biance  Guimaraes, Francisco J.Nunez, Yadira De La Riva, Bonafide Rojas, and Rosemary Pereira.  Created/Directed/Written/Executive Produced by me.

Hablamos

Hablamos a celebration of Hispanic Heritage

 

Year of Production: October 2011

Hablamos is a short Hispanic Heritage documentary by JWT’s Differenter Committee (formally known as the diversity committee) with a distinguished panel of New York City’s most talented poets, actors, directors, and television professionals in a passionate discussion about Latin pride and creativity. Filmed live at the JWT Bar the panelists were asked a series of questions about the presence of Latino’s in the media and in marketing. Also, the panelists spoke about the importance of maintaining and sustaining Latino pride in their every day lives personal and professional and how it gives them the strength overcome adversity in industries that have yet to understand the power and strength of Latino’s. Special guests were Danny Hastings, Michael Diaz aka Juan Bago, Sarah Torres, Rachel Strauss, Lo Anderson, Leesah "Sick Prose" Valesquez, and Carlos Andres Gomez.
